Every multicooker sold here starts at three litres. Cook for one in a 3L pot and you get a thin layer of food scorching against a lot of hot metal, which is why Chinese kitchens have always had a 1.8L. This is that pot.
It runs the cycles a Chinese recipe assumes you have. A congee (rice porridge) programme that holds a slow, patient simmer for an hour without catching on the base. Pressure braises for hongshao pork or beef brisket, done in about the time a hob braise takes to come up to temperature. Soup and stock. Rice.
The dial is mechanical: seven programmes, one turn, no menu tree to learn and nothing to reset after a power cut. The delay timer runs 0-12 hours, which is the difference between wanting congee for breakfast and having it.
Take the lid off and it becomes a table hotpot. The pot heats uncovered, so it sits in the middle of the table and simmers while you eat, which a sealed Western multicooker cannot do at all.

About the control panel
The labels on this cooker are in Chinese. That is normal for an appliance built for the Chinese market, and it is the reason a pot this size exists at all, because nobody makes one for the British market. It is a mechanical dial rather than a screen, so once you know which position is which there is nothing further to learn. An English guide to every setting is below.
