Insulation: The six-layer vacuum construction has a 316L stainless-steel inner wall, copper-plated insulating layer and 304 stainless-steel outer wall. KONKA laboratory tests report that water starting at 95°C remained at or above 45°C after about six hours, and a 4°C cold drink remained at or below 10°C after about six hours, at 15–25°C ambient temperature.

The 316L inner wall is described as corrosion resistant and less likely to retain odours. The cup has a 360° leak-resistant seal, a carrying handle on the lid and removable parts for cleaning.
